Catherine has been a PE teacher at Queenswood School for 5 years after working and studying in Leeds. Catherine knows Queenswood very well as she was a pupil here. She has had various other roles whilst teaching at Queenswood including Resident Sixth Form Tutor, Junior School Tutor, Sports Scholar Mentor and is currently Head of Year 8.
When not at work Catherine likes to take her dog Albert (or as his friends call him - Bertie) on long walks! She spends her holidays in Cornwall with her family trying to surf and body board! Her favourite sports are Cricket, Tennis and Hockey. Catherine is a wicket keeper for the Hayes Hurricanes cricket team and has had the privilege of playing Tennis with Martina Navratilova!

Experience: Coaching for potters bar swimming club, teaching for queenswood swim school. I have worked in a primary school in year 3 and reception helping with the organization on a sports day, also as part of my CSLA I have taught 10 year old groups in netball, volleyball and hockey, and am having to organise a fun day for my whole college, with 6 others. GCSE and AS level p.e gave me a detailed insight and experience in many sports including volleyball, netball and basketball.

My most memorable sporting moment was winning the Hertfordshire netball league in year 6 at primary school, it felt like such an achievement as in netball every player plays an important role in the team and as it is only a 7 person team you all get so close.
